new life

it is absolutely amazing at how much energy is in a little seed!
i planted some gladiolas and hyacynths (sp?) about 2 months ago and the glads started coming up about 3 weeks ago, but the cynths seemed to be taking forever. but, i think there is finally evidence, as shown here, of them pushing up the earth to strut their stuff! i'm so excited. it is the coolest thing to see plants grow.
tonight, with our friends avery & kevin coming over to take pregnancy pictures, it's been an even more interesting time seeing the changes in them and their lives. being lucky to experience their excitement and anticipation as little william is about to join this crazy & eclectic world. feeling him in the womb has been one of the most enlightning things. the look on everyones face when they feel him move is funnier than heck. i can only hope that we're as good to baby will as our parents' close friends were to us!
