Edmonton Summer
Have not been to Edmonton, Alberta during the summer for at least 9 or 10 years. What a treat this beautiful city is, even when it's 30 below. But, I do have to say that all the parks and trees are an appropriate backdrop for the whispy, cotton ball clouds in the balmy summertime. Only sad that my stay this time was so short, so I spent most of it enjoying Baba's company - and watching her make a lemon pie, roast, pierogis, coleslaw, etc... more pics of her soon...

S l o w Down
I took this pic awhile back, towards the end of the semester...when all hell is breaking loose with finals and semester end projects being due. During the last year, life has moved at an incredible pace, and at times the thought of 'is it all worth it?' pops into mind. Every once in awhile, something like this hits you, and you can have a thoughtful moment that may ground you, and remind you that there is more going on than the tunnel of work and routine.

2 Days in LA - Good Eats at Baby Blues BBQ
We went to Venice Thursday night to a gallery opening that was for one of my teachers at CSUF.
After his show, which was quite impressive, we ventured out into Venice to find a dive/diner BBQ place. It turned out to be a worthy find! Fabulous BBQ - the beef brisket sandwich that Billy got, was delicious.
On Friday, we went up to LACMA, using our member passes that Kevin and Avery got for us for Christmas. We saw a strange light show by Daniel Flavin... at first it wasn't too impressive, but as we walked further through the show, it was more and more fun.
