Bench Lady Portraits

I have thought about doing a series of photos with someone i call the bench lady. billy says i am stalking her, but i don't think so... maybe someone else has some input. i have a few shots of her, because i started seeing her after i left work one day, and i think she was talking to the cars that went by while waiting for the bus. every time i see her, i wonder who she is, where is she going, where is she coming from, does she have friends, does she work...? 

Another Calla ~ for Stella

This is what happens when you are raised in Idyllwild. You learn to love nature and can never get enough, especially when it is a gorgeous day. (and something around here smells really sweet and i just can not figure out what it is)
I am so sad that Stella, my ceramics teacher is moving to Wisconsin...i know that she will probably love it, but we will all be sad to see her go. She has brought so much energy and new ideas to the program. So yes, this is another calla lily photo - since my new thing in ceramics is emulating flowers, and Stella helped me with an idea the other day and it was exactly what i needed. Thanks Stella - for everything!!! 

dewella breakfast

good morning! well, have you ever had one of those days where you already had plans made and when the time gets closer, you don't feel like it, or you want to get something else done, or something is nagging at you-a thing that you know you should take care of and just haven't set the time aside to do it...then when you have a few short moments in between social events and work and school, you really have the energy wanting to go at it, get done the tasks you've been skirting around - well, here's a picture that odes to that idea for me.i am calling it 'dewella breakfast' - it is a shot from last weeks breakfast.thank you kevin and avery for not feeling too hot this morning! - really! i think that maybe the suns and stars aligned and decided that we all needed the time for other things. even though we love lounging around on the steps at the apartments while drinking coffee and chatting - for some reason this morning, i really feel the need to get some organinzing and homework done. (and some throwing, gardening, car washing, cleaning, photographing....blah blahblah starting to feel overwhelmed - argh) I VOTE FOR MORE HOURS IN THE WEEK - to be dedicated to free time - down with the 8 hour workday - make it 5 or 6 with a nap!

hey...so most people might say it's about darn time. but, i figure, i might not have found billy or my love for ceramics if i had gone a different path, and instead of having a professional job and hating it, i've been able to have a semi-professional job, dislike it, and still go to school and work for something i love. so here's to taking the hard road - and staying on it for awhile longer! cheerio =P 

Boundary Waters Canoe trip!!!

this is for all the uncles and cousins - the boundary waters Aug 05 trip. it's only taken slacker natasha 7 months to finally put a few online, but maybe this will suffice for a few more days, before i get some more of these organized and off to the appropriate party members...
anyways, a little describing here... starting from top left: the hungry group of guys eatin' from what i can remember - a very healthy breakfast - some potatoes that were cooked in bacon drippings! yum! then uncle pauly aka master chef - cookin' up some pancakes, three sister trees where we had lunch one day, a couple of lake shots, the minisoooota bunch portaging out the last day, my pop watching all the fun of loading the canoes (first day), and final shot, packin up or in - can't remember.
more to come later, i promise!

okay little william - of the mathy clan, was nice enough to wait until natasha and avery could finally get together yesterday and the night before to take pics! This morning i thought my alarm was going off, and it was actually kevin with the call that we're on! - time to run off to the birth center and welcome the little one to the world, and i have to say that he picked one heck of a morning to join us! - rainbow and all!

new life

it is absolutely amazing at how much energy is in a little seed!
i planted some gladiolas and hyacynths (sp?) about 2 months ago and the glads started coming up about 3 weeks ago, but the cynths seemed to be taking forever. but, i think there is finally evidence, as shown here, of them pushing up the earth to strut their stuff! i'm so excited. it is the coolest thing to see plants grow.
tonight, with our friends avery & kevin coming over to take pregnancy pictures, it's been an even more interesting time seeing the changes in them and their lives. being lucky to experience their excitement and anticipation as little william is about to join this crazy & eclectic world. feeling him in the womb has been one of the most enlightning things. the look on everyones face when they feel him move is funnier than heck. i can only hope that we're as good to baby will as our parents' close friends were to us! (with many stories to tell)

Technical Difficulties

OiY !i tell ya, yesterday, i messed the page up and it's taken way too long for me to figure out how to fix it. i can imagine how frustrating it is for some that are not too techy, for i know my way around a computer and sometimes it is still so maddening that i think that maybe just once, i'm gonna rip it's plugs outta the wall and take it outside and go 'office space' on it!anyways, seems to be back up and somewhat ok. so here goes the photo of yesterday-

what a treat - i was wondering what kind of red picture i could take for the days' theme, when all of a sudden i heard the roar of our driver Jim! he 'had' to drive his other car today, cause his wife needed the normal one.
So this one's for all of you who i've told about eastlake graphics' driver having a ferrari - and no he doesn't do deliveries in it except when girls named natasha, that he works with, ask for a ride...woo hoo!
